Beginning as a calling in the heart of a mother who took in “stray”, growing into a vision in the heart of her children, Lighthouse Family Network has become a ministry that seeks to honor the heart of the mother while expanding the vision beyond her dream. Since being founded in 1995 Lighthouse has served more than 1200 children. The initial vision was that of a small agency anchored by two group homes and providing an opportunity to “step down” into a family home as children were able to live in less structured settings. But as founder and President Dwayne Lambert is fond of saying, |
“God had other plans.” From the beginning Lighthouse grew to be larger than the initial vision. But the decision was made early on to continue to keep the small, family atmosphere of the agency. Today, neither of the original group homes remain open, But some of the original families who came to Lighthouse when the agency first started placing children remain active and caring for children to this day. |

Lighthouse Family Network is constantly looking for opportunities to share the story of this ministry and to share opportunities to bless the lives of children by serving as foster parents or in support |
capacities to our homes and families. If your church or community organization would like to have a representative of Lighthouse come and present the work please contact us so we can arrange a date and |
time. We are also available to provide training to parents and those working with children in church or educational settings. For more information contact Dwayne Lambert at (254) 947-3152. |
