HOW WE FIND OUR FAMILIES
Lighthouse Family Network
has a very special way of recruiting foster parents. We recruit our
families from throughout the
Christian Community. We are always looking for opportunities to
share this ministry with
churches,
within churches. If you would be interested in having a

Early on in this ministry
we decided to trust God to find and bring foster families to Lighthouse.
We have, therefore, chosen not to spend large
amounts on radio, television and other media.
Instead, we have focused
our recruitment efforts to prayer time each Monday morning at 10:00.
During prayer time we
pray for the needs of our children, our families and other needs of which
we are aware (if you have
matters you would like for us to bring to the table at those meetings
e-mail us and we will
be glad to add them to our list). We
then pray specifically:
* That God will reveal clearly to families if
foster care is the ministry He has for them.
* That God will bring to Lighthouse Family
Network those parents that He has called to
care for children
through this ministry.
* That God will begin to prepare the children He
has for those homes to minister to.
We believe that foster care
is a ministry and that unless you are called of God to it you will never
be successful. We believe
that not everyone called to foster care is called to this ministry. And
so we pray diligently that
God directs hearts not only to foster care, but to Lighthouse if this is
where they are to be. We do that for staff as well as foster
families.

We want to minister to
children. So more than anything else we
desire your prayers for us in this
ministry. Pray that God will put Lighthouse Family
Network right in the center of His will.
