Education needs are met primarily through the public schools.

It is always at the forefront of each child’s treatment plan. Lighthouse

Family Network foster homes work to develop an excellent relationship

with the school systems and are given support from the Lighthouse

professional team.

Because education is a priority in treatment, a consistent effort is made

to support the schools in their efforts to educate our children. Our

children have opportunities to achieve success in school through

participation in activities not made available to them in their past.

Extracurricular activities such as sports, FFCLA, UIL and many others

have proven to be essential in motivating the child to success in school

and in life.
